Lethbridge man accused of child abduction in northern Alberta Amber Alert

Two people, including a Lethbridge man, are facing abduction charges in relation to an Amber Alert northwest of Edmonton over the weekend.

The alert was issued just before 5:00 am Saturday (June 1) after three young children were reportedly taken from their home in Fox Creek in the middle of the night.

The woman and all three children were found  unharmed  later that morning in central Alberta.

42 year old Charmaine Darnel of Whitecourt has been charged with three counts of abduction of a person under 14, break and enter, assault and uttering threats.

23 year old D’artangan Pool of Lethbridge is facing the same charges as well as forcible confinement and disguise with intent to commit an offence.

According to Darnel’s Facebook page Pool is her son and Lethbridge is her hometown.
