Work continues on the twinning of University Drive on the west side.

“The lane reduction and detour currently in place at McGill Blvd. W will move to the Community Stadium access. This will open up the full four lanes of traffic (two south and two north) from McGill Blvd to the Stadium and allow for left hand turns on to McGill Blvd from northbound University Drive.”
Kovacs says the next stage of work will involve a partial intersection closure at RiverStone Boulevard, however there will be updates provided before that happens.
The University Drive twinning will see four lanes of traffic constructed between the Community Stadium and the SunRidge roundabout.
Kovacs says with the opening of these lanes it clearly shows the progress being made. “Bear in mind these are not the finished lanes. We still have a top of asphalt to finish up next year.”
