LETHBRIDGE, AB – A Lethbridge man has been charged with second degree murder in connection to a homicide here in the city this week.
Police were called to an apartment along 4th Avenue South early Monday morning (Feb. 8) after getting reports that someone was screaming for help.
Officers went inside and found the body of 65 year old Glenn Lofthouse. LPS also recovered a weapon, which they believe was involved in the killing.
Police arrested 35 year old Jade Trotter this week at a south side home. He remains behind bars and is scheduled to appear in court February 12, 2021.
LPS say both Trotter and Lofthouse knew each other.
Lethbridge Police believe this has to do with a dispute over property, however they’re not saying much more than that right now.
The investigation is ongoing.
