LETHBRIDGE, AB – Southern Alberta continues to see records fall like the temperature as this February cold snap continues.
For a third straight day this week more new cold records were set across the region.
On Wednesday (Feb. 10) those included Taber, Milk River, Claresholm, Cardston, Bow Island, and Pincher Creek.
Milk River was the southern Alberta cold spot Wednesday with a record temperature of -36.0°C and that’s doesn’t include the windchill. It blows away the town’s old cold record for February 10th by more than six degrees set a few years ago in 2018.
Since the cold snap began a few days ago, 53 records have been broken across Alberta, many of those here in south.
This blast of extremely cold arctic air is expected to finally start letting up on Sunday.
