LETHBRIDGE, AB – Even with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it turned out to be another very successful annual fundraiser for the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation.
The Care From The Heart Radio-a-thon was held Thursday, February 11th with all six Lethbridge radio stations, including 94.1 CJOC and 98.1 2DayFM taking part.
Once all the cheques and donations were counted, over $262,000 was raised for the CRH Foundation this year.
That was actually above their goal of $250,000.
Things were done differently this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic with donations only being allowed to be made over the phone or online, as opposed to in-person as has been the case in the past.
All the money raised will go to support the greatest needs at Chinook Regional Hospital such as buying new equipment and funding special projects.
Since the radio-a-thon began 11 years ago, it’s raised well over $2.3 million.
