Calgary man killed in semi crash near Vauxhall

VAUXHALL, AB. – A serious two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon (Feb 15) just north of Vauxhall claiming the life of a Calgary man.

Taber-Vauxhall RCMP, EMS and Vauxhall Fire were all dispatched to Hwy 526 shortly before noon Monday where two semis had collided.

The lone driver of the eastbound semi, a 29 year old man from Calgary, was pronounced dead at the scene while the male driver and child passenger of the other semi were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The name of the deceased will not be released and no charges are pending or anticipated.
