SIKSIKA FIRST NATION, AB – A fire at the Siksika First Nation Catholic Church appears to have been deliberately set.

Gleichen RCMP say they were called about the blaze early Monday morning, just after midnight.

The fire was extinguished by the Siksika Fire Department before any significant structural damage was done.

Mounties say no one was inside at the time and there were no injuries however a preliminary investigation indicates someone started the fire on purpose.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or CrimeStoppers.
