LETHBRIDGE, AB – There will be fireworks this weekend at Lethbridge Exhibition Park.

The local exhibition is partnering with the Calgary Stampede to Light Up the Night Sky on July 9th across Alberta.

The province-wide fireworks display will take place at 11:00 pm Friday.

It’ll be held all at the same time in Lethbridge, Red Deer, Edmonton, and Calgary. The exhibition says this will be the largest and most sophisticated fireworks event in the country this year.

If you’d like to watch the fireworks this Friday, you can do that for free from the Exhibition Park Grandstand. Seating will be limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

If the stands are full, you can still watch from your vehicle on the exhibition grounds. Space will be limited though.

The 14 minute fireworks display will take place at the same time in all four Alberta cities to coincide with the opening day of the Calgary Stampede.
