LETHBRIDGE, AB – For many people in southern Alberta, this might be the best two words we’ve heard in months, Rainfall Warning.
Environment Canada is forecasting a good dump of rain for some areas including Claresholm, Stavely, Okotoks, Kananaskis, and Canmore areas.
Heavy rainfall is expected to begin Monday over southwestern Alberta. Widespread rainfall amounts of 40 to 50 mm are expected, with up to 70 mm possible in some localities. Rainfall will taper off on Tuesday evening.
Lethbridge is just on the edge of the expected rainfall with 5-10 mm possible for the the area.
