LETHBRIDGE, AB – Half a dozen agencies across Lethbridge are joining forces to make sure the city’s less fortunate have everything they need this Christmas.

The 15th Annual Christmas Hope Campaign officially launched Monday and you’re encouraged to donate money, gifts, or food items ahead of the holidays.

Partner organizations include the Lethbridge Food Bank, Interfaith Food Bank, Salvation Army, Lethbridge Family Services Angel Tree, MyCityCare Shop of Wonders and Volunteer Lethbridge.

Executive Director of the Interfaith Food Bank, Danielle McIntyre, says when you’re shopping for your family, please consider shopping for someone else as well.

She says “the need is great again this year year which is kind of sad but at the same time kind of inspiring because we know that together we can actually help a lot of families who might be struggling at this time of year.”

The six agencies have committed to jointly assisting 2,000 adults and 4,500 children by making the most of their resources and reducing the duplication of services.

The Lethbridge Family Services Angel Tree Campaign kicked off late last week as well and is collecting gifts for newborns to teenagers.
