Average home rent in Lethbridge has jumped more than 5% in 2021

LETHBRIDGE, AB – It’s not getting any cheaper to rent a place to live anywhere in this city.

According to a report from Rentals.ca, the average monthly rent for a one bedroom place in Lethbridge has gone up 5.3% and for a two bedroom home, the cost has jumped by 6.1%.

That’s year-over-year and shows a significant increase compared to this same time in 2020.

The average rent for a one bedroom right now is just over $1,000 a month and the cost of a two bedroom place is now pushing $1,200.

The report indicates average rents in most Canadian cities will continue to rise in 2022, following declines the previous two years when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country.

The National Rent Report charts and analyzes monthly, quarterly and annual rates and trends in the rental market on a national, provincial, and municipal level across all listings on Rentals.ca for 35 cities across Canada.
