FORT MACLEOD, AB – A crash Saturday morning just outside of Fort Macleod has claimed the life of a 52 year old Lethbridge man.
It happened around 9:00 am on January 1st when a car collided with a pick-up truck on Highway 3 just west of that town.
Fort Macleod RCMP say the car was heading eastbound when it crossed into the oncoming lane, crashing into the truck.
The Lethbridge man was airlifted by STARS to Calgary, but died of his injuries. His name has not been released. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries.
Police say all possible factors are being looked at as the investigation continues into exactly what happened.
