LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge has a new fire chief and he’s being promoted from within.

Longtime Deputy Chief, Greg Adair will take over as the new head of Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services, replacing Marc Rathwell who is retiring.

Adair, who has an extensive fire fighting resume spanning both Lethbridge and prior to that in Red Deer, says he’s extremely honoured and excited for this opportunity.

As Chief, Adair will be addressing several projects including securing a long-term ambulance contract with Alberta Health Services and continuing to advocate for EMS dispatch services to be provided locally, just to name a few.

Chief Adair officially starts his new duties on Jan.12.
