A man from the Blood Reserve apparently picked the wrong place to try and steal a bike.

Lethbridge Police say on Wednesday night (July 3), someone was caught busting into the bicycle compound at the police station.

A front desk commissionaire witnessed a man trying to get into the bike holding area which is on the west side of the LPS building.

In pretty much record response time, officers were on scene and confronted a suspected who scaled the fence, climbed over the razor wire at the top, and was apparently inside picking out a bike to steal.

32 year old Kyle English of Stand Off is facing a charge of break and enter. He currently remains in jail.
