Lethbridge surpasses 10,000 COVID-19 case mark

With the latest update of COVID-19 case statistics from Alberta Health, the City of Lethbridge has surpassed the 10,000 total COVID-19 case mark. On Wednesday, 151 recovered and 82 new cases of the virus were reported in the city, for an active case total of 1,001 and a total case count of 10,011 since the onset of the pandemic.

In Lethbridge County, 18 recovered and 16 new cases of COVID-19 were also identified over the last 24 hours, for an active case total of 146 as of January 26th.

Province wide, 3,218 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Wednesday from 9,352 tests for a positivity rate of 34.4 per cent. Across Alberta, 1,469 people remain in hospital due to COVID-19, with 106 requiring the ICU.
