Business operators in downtown Lethbridge can now help their customers out with things outside of store walls, including, paying for parking.
This is after the city announced the kick start of the “Business Add Time to Plate” program, which will allow business accounts, linked with the municipality, to have parking time loaded into their account, which can then be distributed to cover the costs of parking for their customers.
The city says it’s another option for downtown users, on top of things like parking cards and the WayToPark app. Officials say the hope is to make paying for parking as simple as possible.
Businesses in the downtown core are being asked to contact 311 for information, and a City representative will set up an appointment and assist with account creation and payment collection.
