Two men arrested, charged for endangering child and drug trafficking after search of Blood Tribe home

Two men have been arrested and charged for allegedly trafficking drugs and endangering a child after Blood Tribe Police Service and RCMP Police Dog Services executed a search warrant at a residence on the Blood Tribe.

A search of the residence on April 16 resulted in the discovery of 32.2 grams of Carfentanil and 1.1 grams of Methamphetamine.

Two young children were located inside the residence, along with a 29- year-old man, who is a Blood Tribe resident, and a 33-year-old man from Calgary. The Blood Tribe resident was arrested and charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, obstructing a police Officer and causing a child to be drug endangered. He was also arrested on three outstanding warrants, according to police. The man was held on cash bail to appear in Cardston Court in May.

Police said the names of those charged are being withheld to protect the identities of the children involved.
