Emergency training exercise taking place at Lethbridge Airport on Tuesday

Travellers at the Lethbridge Airport may see an influx of emergency vehicles on Tuesday, but, there is no reason for concern.

Starting at 10 a.m., officials with Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services, Lethbridge Police Service, Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the City of Lethbridge will be on hand running through a simulated emergency at the airport, requiring coordinated support from first responders.

While there will be a lot of emergency traffic, there will be no impact to air service, and passengers will not face any delays in connection to the simulated emergency. It’s expected the exercise will wrap up by 3 p.m.
