Christmas tree festival raises more than $100,000 for Lethbridge healthcare

The 28th Annual Christmas Tree Festival for the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation raised $170,000 this year. After two years of cancellations, the festival was back at the Enmax Centre from Nov. 20-23. All 25 silent auction items, including 19 trees, were sold by Balog Auction Services Inc.

More than 4,000 people and families attended the festival, which included a family skate night, gala and auction. The foundation says volunteers helped make the festival a success. All the trees were sponsored and decorated by local businesses, individuals and community groups.

The funds raised directly impact health care in the community, according to the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation and all the proceeds stay in Lethbridge.
