A virtual reality video highlighting Lethbridge sports venues won an international award for immersive and mixed reality. The NYX Awards announced its 2023 winners and among them was Edouard Limon, Rupen Bhardwaj, and Claudia Limon, from Winged Whale Media.
The NYX Video awards is a premier international competition that recognizes and celebrates the most innovative and creative work in video design, planning, direction and production.

Virtual reality has taken the tourism industry by storm and it’s a privilege to have used this innovative technology to showcase Lethbridge to the world,” said Edouard Limon, creative director of Winged Whale Media. “We’re excited to have the opportunity to bring international attention to this beautiful city and to highlight the world-class professional sports facilities it has to offer.”
The video was made for the Lethbridge sport tourism advisory committee and it highlights nine of the city’s sport venues for event organizers. It features local directors and managers speaking about the facilities.
