Rent in Lethbridge sees roughly 10 per cent year over year increase

Lethbridge had among the lowest rental rates across Canada in April, finishing 31st out the the 35 municipalities included in the latest rental report from Rentals.ca and Urbanation. According to the report a one bedroom apartment on average cost $1,178 up 9.2 per cent compared to April of last year, while the average two bedroom apartment is $1,335 up 11.3 per cent from 2022.

Across Alberta rent was up 15 per cent, with a one bedroom costing $1,346 and a two bedroom $1,674. Edmonton and Red Deer finished right below Lethbridge, coming in 32nd and 33rd respectively while Calgary came in 27th. Vancouver and Toronto continue to have two of the highest rental rates across the country in April, while Regina had the lowest.
