Registration is now open for the Lethbridge Police Service Run for Special Olympics. The 10 and 5 kilometre half marathon is slated for Saturday, September 16th, with walkers, joggers, and runners of all skill levels welcomed and encouraged to sign up.
Along with helping to raise funds for Special Olympics, the route itself will have views of the coulees and there will be no hills. Those who register will receive a race shirt, medal, and there will be prizes for top runners in both the 5k and 10k.
Residents are also encouraged and welcome to cheer on family and friends at the finish line located at the police range in the river valley. Community members that would like to help out can volunteer on September 16th to assist along the routes. To register or sign up for volunteering can be done on the official marathon website.
