Lethbridge auto dealers are partnering again with Canadian Blood Services in the second annual Drive to Save Lives campaign.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving has also joined this year’s event, aimed at bringing attention to the need for blood donations over the summer months and also urge local residents not to drink and drive.
The Drive to Save Lives runs August 1st to 31st here in Lethbridge.
The groups have come together to remind local residents of the vital role blood donors play in helping patients like Nicolas Terrance Coates. 27 year old Nicolas was killed by an impaired driver and received 80 units of blood before he died of his injuries.
The goal is 150 blood donations and 15 new donors.
