Lethbridge kids invited to help design Legacy Park playground

Lethbridge kids will have their say about what should and shouldn’t be included in the new Legacy Park on the north side.

The playground, which will be about five-times larger than the one at Henderson Lake Park, aims to provide fun for all ages and abilities.

Parks Planning Manger, Chris Witkowski, says staff and design consultants will be on site from 11am to 7pm Thursday, August 15th to show current concept designs and take feedback.

He also says kids will also be encouraged to build a play tower of their dreams or work with a consulting artist to draw pieces for the new playground.

Families can also enter to win a set of four tickets to Paw Patrol, coming to the ENMAX Centre this February and for those with older children, there will be a draw to win a $50 Sport Chek gift card.

Construction on the Legacy Park playground is expected to begin early next year and should be open by Fall 2020.
