A Lethbridge woman has been killed following a crash in northwest Alberta.
It happened early Saturday morning (Sept. 7) near Grande Prairie.
RCMP say a pick-up truck collided with a semi. The 42 year old from Lethbridge died at the scene. She was the lone person in the pick-up.
The man from Grande Prairie driving the semi meanwhile, was flown by STARS to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Mounties say all possible contributing factors in this collision are being looked into. That section of Highway 40 near Grande Prairie was closed for several hours.
The name of the person killed will not be released.
