A young cyclist is recovering in hospital after he was hit by a car Friday night.
Police say the 13 year old boy was eastbound on Astra Street around 8pm when he rode in front of a vehicle heading south on Dieppe Boulevard.
It was dark and the boy didn’t have a light on his bike.
He also wasn’t wearing a helmet.
The teen was taken to Chinook Regional Hospital with head injuries and later transferred to Calgary Children’s Hospital where he remains in stable condition.
