Dylan Cozens is heading back to the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
The forward was reassigned by the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres Thursday.
Sabres Head Coach Ralph Krueger says he and his staff are confident this is the right move for Cozens and his future, saying “there’s a pace and there’s an intensity to a National Hockey League Season that we just didn’t feel he was quite ready for.”
Krueger says Sabres extended staff will be visiting Cozens in Lethbridge over the next year and believe he will come back and “make a very hard push for being a part of this team next year.”
The Hurricanes have two games this weekend, hosting Red Deer Friday night before heading up to Edmonton Sunday.
