Parks Canada has issued a warning about bears in the Waterton Park townsite.
Over the last week, a black bear has been seen approaching buildings and even got away with some food from unsecured garbage in the village.
Parks staff say since the early fall snow storm last week, a number of bears have been pushed into the townsite to look for food.
People living or heading to visit Waterton are asked to make sure anything which could attract bears is secured.
