Lethbridge Police have a 44 year old man in custody after an incident Saturday (Oct. 12) on the city’s north side.
Officers tried pull over a vehicle along St. Edwards Boulevard after they noticed a passenger in that vehicle was wanted on outstanding warrants.
Police say when they advised the person he was under arrest, the man allegedly got into an altercation with officers and that’s when the suspect was tasered.
The man however, managed to break free and take off, leading LPS to call in the K-9 team.
Police say the suspect ran through several yards before the dog managed to catch up to him. The man suffered minor injuries after jumping over a fence. He was arrested and taken to hospital for treatment.
Clinton Brian Daniels of Raymond is facing a charge of resisting arrest. He’ll appear in court in Lethbridge on Thursday (Oct. 17).
