Trio arrested, LPS seize stolen property on west side

Three people are facing charges after Lethbridge Police seized a load of stolen property from a vehicle on the west side just before the Thanksgiving long weekend.

On Friday (Oct. 11), an off-duty LPS officer noticed a stolen vehicle in a parking lot along Walshe Drive. Police arrested three people inside that vehicle and also recovered a large amount of stolen property.

Lethbridge Police believe the trio had used that stolen auto to commit numerous thefts around southern Alberta the night before.

LPS also say an officer was poked by an uncapped needle during the property search.

25 year old Nevada Vandermeer, 29 year old Cayden McRae, and 31 year old Kenzie Anderson are all facing dozens of charges relating to being in possession of stolen property. Vandermeer, meanwhile is also facing drug charges.

All three suspects will appear in court at a later date.
