A 40 year old Lethbridge man facing charges in connection to a series of violent crimes from last week making a brief appearance in court Thursday morning (Oct. 31)
Cory Williams is accused of attacking another man with a machete, a kidnapping at knife-point, an attempted car jacking, and throwing a woman to the ground and demanding she hand over her cell phone.
He’s currently in jail at the Lethbridge Correctional Centre. Court heard Thursday that he’s spoken with a lawyer and had his matter adjourned over to Nov. 8th.
Williams is facing ten total charges, some of those including kidnapping and attempted kidnapping, assault with a weapon, robbery and attempted robbery.
