North Lethbridge bar robbed for the second time in less than four months

Lethbridge Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a north side bar early Monday morning.

The man, who was armed with a knife, walked into the Flamingo bar along the 1700 block of 23rd street north at about 12:30am and chased a male staff member around the bar until he agreed to open the till.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken and the suspect fled on foot.

No on was hurt.

The man is described as Aboriginal, about 5’10” tall, early to late 30’s with an average build, blemished skin and a raspy voice.

He was wearing a thick black winter jacket with the hood up, black sunglasses and a black handkerchief with white accents covering his mouth.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or CrimeStoppers.

It’s the second time in less than four months the Flamingo has been robbed at knife-point. A similar incident took place on July 28 when a man reportedly approached the bar, brandished a knife and demanded cash.

He made off on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
