Lethbridge Police lay charges after knife incident along Mayor Magrath Drive

A 36 year old man is facing charges stemming from an incident along Mayor Magrath Drive Wednesday morning.

Police say a 55 year old man was stopped at a red light in the southbound lanes of Mayor Magrath when an unknown man on the west side of the road began motioning for him to pull over.

He parked near the Campbell Clinic and got out to speak with the man who began yelling, produced a large knife and started walking toward the driver who got back into his vehicle and drove away.

Officers were able to track down the suspect and make an arrest. They also seized a large folding knife and 11 pre-packaged doses of fentanyl.

Stanley Wade Standing Alone has been charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, possession for the purpose of trafficking and breach of a weapons prohibition.
