University of Lethbridge holding TEDx speaker event in January

The University of Lethbridge is looking for presenters for its first-ever TEDx speaker event.

The theme of the event is “I am Still Learning”.

Kathleen Massey, the University’s associate vice-president of students, says they’re excited to be presenting their first TEDx event and hope to find a diverse group of people who can stretch the envelope on this theme and spark some great conversations.

Applications for speakers will be accepted until next Wednesday, November 20th on the U of L’s web site at this link: TEDx ULeth

The U of L’s first TEDx event will be held on January 25th, 2020.

The independently produced event, operated under a license from TED is organized by community volunteers and aimed at creating dialogue as well as giving people a forum to share their passions, ideas and experiences.

Launched in 2009, TEDx is a program of locally organized events that bring the community together to share a TED-like experience. Some of the best talks from TEDx events have gone on to be featured on TED.com and garnered millions of views from audiences across the globe.
