A special ceremony is taking place next week to honour the 75 anniversary of D-Day.

Lethbridge’s Royal Canadian Legion, General Stewart Branch will hold the brief remembrance ceremony on June 6th at 11:00 am at the cenotaph downtown.

D-Day marks the time when allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy and helped to liberate France during the second World War.

Legion President, Michael Cormican says the public is invited come take part in the short ceremony next Thursday as well.
