COVID-19 Cancellations

The following is a list of cancellations and postponements due to COVID-19.

  • ALL public/separate schools in Alberta CANCELLED
  • University of Lethbridge campus access is restricted. Students in need of wi-fi and computer access will be able to use Anderson Hall
  • Lethbridge College campus is open but classes are online
  • Lethbridge Paradise Canyon Open scheduled for June 25-28 has been POSTPONED
  • 2020 Lethbridge Jazz & Blues Festival cancelled
  • 2020 Alberta Summer Games in Lethbridge POSTPONED until summer 2021
  • The 2020 ATB Financial Lethbridge Rotary Dragon Boat Festival, set to take place June 26-28, has been CANCELLED
  • Celebrate Downtown event for May 1 POSTPONED to a yet-to-be-determined later date
  • Spring Reuse Rendezvous April 25 CANCELLED
  • All national parks and national historic sites in Canada temporarily CLOSED to visitor vehicle traffic
  • All Lethbridge playground equipment CLOSED
  • 2020 WHL playoffs and Memorial Cup CANCELLED
  • Lethbridge International Airshow over Heritage Day weekend CANCELLED
  • The Lethbridge and District Music and Speech Arts Festival Society Board announces, with regret, the CANCELLATION of the 2020 Festival scheduled for March 23-April 4, which includes all sessions and concerts
  • Lethbridge Spiritualist Centre’s Sunday Services are moving to online at 10am for Spiritual Healing and 11 am for Mediumship Demonstration. Go to www.lethbridgespiritualistcentre.ca to find out how to join the live sessions every Sunday
  • Nord-Bridge will be CLOSED indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic
  • 20th Annual Claresholm & District Health Foundation Banquet, Auction and Dance CANCELLED
  • Under Northern Lights Gala to be POSTPONED this year. A Fall event is possible if circumstances change.
  • Youth One Gala is POSTPONED
  • Lethbridge College CANCELS 2020 Convocation. It will NOT be rescheduled.
  • Lethbridge City Hall, Lethbridge CLOSED to the public
  • All Lethbridge Fire Hall CLOSED to the public
  • Front counter of LPS station & Collision Reporting Centre CLOSED to the public
  • Access to Lethbridge Animal Shelter RESTRICTED
  • Lethbridge County offices in Lethbridge, Picture Butte, and Coaldale CLOSED to public
  • Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump is temporarily CLOSED
  • Town of Taber administration bulding CLOSED to public
  • Town of Claresholm Administration and FCSS offices CLOSED as of March 19 and until further notice
  • Parks Canada temporarily SUSPENDING all visitor services across the country Mar. 18 midnight
  • Lethbridge physician town hall on local health care Mar. 19 POSTPONED
  • Castle Mountain Ski Resort CLOSED for winter season
  • Movie Mill & Cineplex theatres temporarily CLOSED
  • Alberta Provincial Court: As of Mar. 17, anyone with provincial or traffic offences do not need to attend court unless the matter is an in-custody or urgent case. No members of the public will be allowed in courtrooms.
  • Lethbridge Exhibition Park is closed until further notice while the Aggie Days agricultural awareness program, originally scheduled to be held April 8th and 9th, has been CANCELLED for 2020.
  • Resorts of the Canadian Rockies is SUSPENDING operations until further notice at its ski resorts including Fernie Alpine Resort, Kimberley Alpine Resort, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in Golden and Nakiska Ski Area east of Banff.
  • Drop-In Rollerskating events have been PAUSED until further notice
  • Effective March 16, 2020 Court of Queen’s Bench is limiting hearings to emergency or urgent matters ONLY.
  • All City of Lethbridge rec & culture facilities CLOSED
  • Both branches of Lethbridge Public Library CLOSED
  • Lethbridge County offices CLOSED to public
  • All daycares operated by Blood Tribe CLOSED
  • All Blood Reserve Schools CLOSED
  • The Boys & Girls Club of Lethbridge has SUSPENDED all programs and services
  • New West Theatre’s Dear Johnny Deere Mar. 13th & 14th at the Yates CANCELLED
  • Boots & Roots Benefit for STARS Mar.20th at Sandman Signature POSTPONED
  • Woods’ Homes Gala Mar. 28th at Coast Hotel POSTPONED
  • Colour Fun Run Apr. 5th at U of L CANCELLED
  • Runners Soul Moonlight Run CANCELLED
  • Community Foundation Friend of Foundation Dinner CANCELLED
  • ENMAX Centre Concerts:  Glorious Sons & Matthew Good POSTPONED
  • Lethbridge Public Library: OPEN, but all public programs SUSPENDED till Mar 31
  • Ex. Park Home & Garden Show POSTPONED
  • Lethbridge Curling season CANCELLED
  • Coaldale Chamber Awards POSTPONED

  • Hungarian Cultural Society of Southern Alberta, Hungarian Revolution and war of Independence  of 1848 Commemoration POSTPONED
