AACE Award Nominations Now Open!
Lethbridge, Alberta.
The Allied Arts Council has been recognizing the philanthropic and service contributions to the Arts Community for almost 20
years. New awards have been added over the years highlighting the vibrancy of the arts in Lethbridge. Nominations are open
until June 1st. Any citizen of Lethbridge can nominate a deserving person, business or organization to be recognized. Award
recipients will be recognized in a virtual celebration in September.
“Even though COVID-19 has prevented many arts organizations from hosting events, performing, and meeting in public, there
are hardworking individuals that are working to keep the arts ready for when we re-open. The awards really help to bring
attention to that work in these times,” notes Tara Gillanders, AAC Projects Manager. “We look forward to sharing the award
recipients in a virtual event this fall.”
Nominations can be made in the following categories, by downloading a nomination package at artslethbridge.org/awardsscholarships
Aspiring Artist Award, introduced in 2019, recognizes a young artist, in grades 9 through 12, in the Lethbridge
region who is working to advance and enhance the arts in Lethbridge. The award has a value of $1,000 and is intended
to support and encourage artistic work.
Young Artist Award recognizes a young artist in the Lethbridge region who is working to advance and enhance the
arts in Lethbridge. The award has a value of $1,000 and is intended to support and encourage artistic work.
