Free Event – National Range Day & Grand Re-Opening

What: National Range Day & Grand Re-Opening Celebration

When: Saturday June 4th 10:00am ~ 4:00pm

Where: LFGA Shooting Sport Facility – River Bottom Peenaquim Park

Why: Highlighting our official re-opening and recognition of nearly 2 million dollars of community supported Safety upgrades and join hundreds of ranges across Canada celebrating the 1st ever National Range Day!

How: Free Public Event – Demonstrations and presentations in shooting sports including archery, rile, shotgun and handgun sports with HANDS ON opportunities for visitors to try numerous types of shooting sports.

Big Bore Rifle target shooting, Steel Challenge, 3-Gun, Clay Pigeons/Trap/Skeet, IPSC (International Practical Shooting Confederation -pistol) and Archery will all be demonstrated with opportunities to try each! 

Members of the LFGA, S.A.F.E. (Southern Alberta Firearms Education)   Society Competitive Pistol Youth Team, and Chinook Country Shooters will give sport shooting demonstrations and provide FREE – no license required opportunities to try each sport!

A $5 BBQ lunch is available during our 12:00 Noon – 1:30PM Presentation Program with VIP introductions and informative talks on our facility upgrades, our history, conservation initiatives and community partnering.

Attendance and participation is completely free to everyone, attendees to the shooting activities are encouraged to wear/bring glasses & ear protection but it will be provided for those who don’t have their own.
