Minister Shandro keeps up heat on Ottawa over COVID-19 vaccine delays

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Alberta’s Health Minister is once again hammering away at the federal government over its handling of COVID-19 vaccines.

In a post on social media, Tyler Shandro says the UCP government is deeply concerned that Ottawa can no longer provide provinces with an estimate of Moderna deliveries for the end of February.

He says every day we get less & less certainty on how much vaccine Alberta is receiving and when.

The feds have been under increasing pressure to figure things out, after shipments have been delayed from both Moderna and Pfizer in Europe.

Shandro’s stern post on Twitter Wednesday says Albertans need accurate info that they can count on stressing “this needs to change, and it needs to change now.”

The Prime Minister has said several times that regardless of the current delays, every Canadian who wants a COVID vaccine will get one by the end of September.
