LETHBRIDGE, AB – A short-term surveillance operation by Lethbridge Police has resulted in drug-charges against a city man.

Officers say they searched a home and vehicle on Wednesday, Feb. 3, after spotting activity consistent with drug trafficking along the 800 block of 17th street south.

Cocaine and marijuana plants were seized, along with just under $1,400 in cash.

30 year old Clayton Redel faces a few charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime under the Criminal Code, as well as unlawfully possessing marijuana plants in excess of the allowable limit under the Cannabis Act.

He was released from custody to appear in court at the end of April.
