UPDATE: Lethbridge Police identify suspect in business break-in

UPDATE: Lethbridge Police have been able to identify the subject in the security camera footage taken at the commercial break-in noted in the earlier release below. While the subject has been identified, he is not yet in custody and the investigation is ongoing.

BACKGROUND

Lethbridge Police are searching for the man responsible for damaging a south side restaurant and stealing valuable electronics.

Police say the unknown man went into Fusion Sushi, located at 1104 Mayor Magrath Dr S., just before 8:00 p.m. last Sunday (Feb. 14), and hid in an area that’s currently under renovation.

Several hour later, when staff closed up for the night and left, the man damaged and removed video cameras, and stole special computer tablets worth more than $10,000, as well as $1,600 in cash. Damage done to the business is estimated at more than $5,000.

An investigation into this break-in is currently on-going.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect (pictured above) is asked to call Lethbridge Police or Crime Stoppers.
