54-year old woman killed in vehicle-pedestrian crash

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A Lethbridge woman is facing serious charges in relation to a collision in the city that killed a pedestrian.

Shortly after 10:00 a.m. on Monday (Aug. 2), Lethbridge Police say a southbound truck hit a female pedestrian along the 1200 block of Mayor Magrath Dr S.

The 54-year old victim was taken to Chinook Regional Hospital, but later died as a result of her injuries.

Shannon Good Striker, 34, has been charged with impaired driving causing death, driving with blood alcohol over 0.08 and dangerous driving causing death.

Good Striker is set to appear in court on Aug. 24.
