New mural unveiled at Galt Museum to coincide with International Youth Day

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A trio of local artists is hoping to make you think a little more about environmentalism and what we can all do to help.

Their new mural was unveiled at the Galt Museum Thursday evening to coincide with International Youth Day.

Project Lead Sydney Whiting says she wanted to promote conversations around renewable energy and our changing climate but also focus on ways we can adapt.

She says the mural aims to demonstrate the connections between youth activism, artistry, and environmentalism while highlighting the Lethbridge landscape.

The project was supported by the Climate Hub of Southern Alberta with funding made possible through the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation, TakingITGlobal #RisingYouth Grants, and the Government of Canada.
