COVID-19 cancels Operation Red Nose for a second year

LETHBRIDGE, AB – If you’ll be going out anywhere this upcoming holiday season, make sure to plan a safe ride home well in advance because Operation Red Nose won’t be an option.

The service was supposed to come back this winter, but it’s been cancelled right across Alberta for the second year in a row due to COVID-19.

Anne-Marie Audet, National Executive Director, says it wasn’t an easy decision, but the safety of volunteers and clients is always the top priority.

The cancellation of Lethbridge’s Operation Red Nose will come as a blow to the U of L Pronghorn Athletics, which has utilized the service as a major fundraiser for over 25 years.
