Lethbridge man arrested after drug bust near south side elementary school

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A Lethbridge man has been arrested after police seized nearly $200,000 in drugs, weapons and proceeds of crime from a home near an elementary school.

Officers went the house along Lakeridge Boulevard South on Monday with a warrant in hand.

There, police seized quantities of cocaine, magic mushrooms, and cannabis as well as edibles, methamphetamine, and prescription drugs.

Officers also found over $20,000 in cash as well as body armour, a shotgun, and ammo.

25 year old Serafim Soshalskiy was arrested during a traffic stop is facing a list of drug-related charges including possession and trafficking.

As of Tuesday, he was still in jail awaiting a bail hearing.

  • 950 grams of cocaine
  • 930 grams of psilocybin
  • 17 pounds of cannabis
  • 181 packages of edibles
  • 24 grams of meth

Pat grew up in the small Saskatchewan farming town of Foam Lake. After high school, he went to Western Academy Broadcasting College (WABC) in Saskatoon prior to moving to the island. Pat also spent several years broadcasting hockey in the BCHL as well as seven years as the radio voice of the Lethbridge Hurricanes in the WHL. Pat has been working at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Lethbridge as a Certified Life Celebrant and Funeral Assistant since 2016. News and sports have always been Pat's passion from the time he was a teenager and he's always been grateful to have had the opportunity to make that part of what's been a fun and long radio career!
