Drugs seized in Taber traffic stop; Lethbridge woman facing charges

TABER, AB – A Lethbridge woman is facing a list of charges after a drug bust in Taber.

Police in that town say an officer stopped a vehicle early Friday morning, January 21, 2022.

The driver was found to not have a licence or registration and on top of all that, she had outstanding warrants for her arrest.

During the investigation, Taber Police also found a quantity of drugs including crystal meth, suspected carfentanil, cocaine and some cash.

37 year old Jacqueline Bourassa of Lethbridge is facing a number of drug-related charges.

Taber Police say Bourassa was at large on conditions relating to a drug trafficking case dating back to last April.

She appeared befor a judge later on Friday and was released with conditions to appear in Taber court on February 8th.

Pat also spent several years broadcasting hockey in the BCHL as well as seven years as the radio voice of the Lethbridge Hurricanes in the WHL. Pat has been working at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Lethbridge as a Certified Life Celebrant and Funeral Assistant since 2016. News and sports have always been Pat's passion from the time he was a teenager and he's always been grateful to have had the opportunity to make that part of what's been a fun and long radio career!
