73rd COVID-19 related death reported in City of Lethbridge

Another COVID-19 related death has been reported in the City of Lethbridge. It’s the 73rd death reported in the municipality since the onset of the pandemic.

214 new and 205 recovered cases of the virus were also discovered in the municipality over the weekend, for a new active case total of 1029. In Lethbridge County, 38 new and 18 recovered cases of COVID-19 were also identified over the last 72 hours, pushing the active case total in that region to 160.

Province-wide, 6,537 new cases of the virus were also reported on the weekend from 19,331 tests for a positivity rate of 33.8 per cent. Across Alberta, 1,516 people remain in hospital due to COVID-19, with 99 requiring the ICU.
