Lethbridge College announces this year’s alumni award winners

FourĀ alumni will be in the spotlight at Lethbridge College’s annual Honouring Excellence Awards.

Career Virtuoso: Kathryn Iwaasa (Nursing 1994); Distinguished Alumni: Chris Delisle (Electrician Apprenticeship 2008); Community Leader: Tara Grindle (Communication Arts 1996) and Rising Star: Alexandra Carnio (Business Administration 2012) will join nearly 100 former graduates of the school, with the awards ceremony now in its 30th year.

With COVID-19 making most in-person events impossible over the last two years, alumni award winners from 2020 and 2021 will also be recognized and are invited to attend the event.

ā€œWhat’s amazing, is that every year we hand out these awards, the Alumni Advisory Council thinks it’ll be hard for the next crop to live up to the previous year’s winners, but every single year, they do,ā€Ā says Jordan Karst, Alumni Advisory Council chair.

ā€œGraduates from Lethbridge College continue to lead the way, here at home and around the world, in so many different fields. I think we’re at the point where it’s no longer a surprise, it’s expected and that’s an incredible feeling!ā€

This year’s Honouring Excellence awards will take place on May 26th in the Garden Court Dining Room.
