Lethbridge rent up year-over-year in July: report

The latest National Rent Report from Rentals.ca and Bullpen Research & Consulting shows that Lethbridge has moved up in the ranks over the last month, now standing at 31st out of 35 cities for average monthly rent in July.

Last month, average monthly rent on a one bedroom unit sat at $1,089 and a two-bedroom at $1,236.

This means average monthly rent on a one bedroom unit rose 9.8 percent, and 12.5 per cent for a two bedroom year over year. Month over month, it rose 3.3 per cent for a one-bedroom and up 5.3 per cent for a two-bedroom.

Rent across Canada went up 10.4 per cent year over year, with the average rent listed on Rentals.ca sitting at $1,934 in July. This is just $20 below the peak reached before the pandemic of $1,954 in September 2019.
