Lethbridge Terry Fox Run moving from Civic track to Legacy Park

The Lethbridge Terry Fox Run organizing committee has announced the relocation of this year’s run from the track at the Civic Centre Field to the new Legacy Ridge Park.

The committee says the move is because of the encampment at Civic Centre Field, which it says is an unfortunate situation, and one that has grown beyond its scope.

“Although we believe that Terry would want to find a way to include every person, regardless of housing or economic circumstances, he also had a great deal of consideration for the safety of those who helped him during his original journey across Canada,” reads an official release from the committee.

The run will be held on September 18 at 10 a.m., with registration starting at 9 a.m..
